There are two strands of high-altitude mountain ranges and their foothills are green fields and flower several mountain villages full of stillness and presented as the perfect setting for great adventures.

The Cordillera Negra to the west we see peaks that exceed five thousand feet, but do not have snow by the action of winds from the Pacific Ocean alders. These prevent the formation of glaciers.

Find alternative to reach Machu Picchu

Ollantaytambo, CuscoOllantaytambo is one of the alternative routes to Machu Picchu.

This name means in Spanish Ollantaytambo “Posada de Ollanta” is due to an original drama of Peruvian literature which generally prevents the love of Ollanta and Coyllur Cusi, the daughter of Pachacutec.

In this place, Manco Inca, one of the icons and examples of indigenous resistance, decides to retire after winning fencing to Cusco for months.

To arrive at Ollantaytambo, Urubamba address the whereabouts of the Grey Avenue, the bus takes 40 minutes to an address on connection to Ollantaytambo and then a combination that leads to the 82 km of the railway, where you can get walking to Aguas Calientes.
